And then there was a hiatus, which is a very interesting little episode, between Bill Sterling and Boy Browning, the commander of the Airborne Division.

Bill Sterling came off worse.

Brian took over command of 2SAS.

That was recently made into a film again.

In 1932, du Maurier married Major Frederick Browning, with whom she had three children.

And rather than dropping them, you know, they were going to be dropped five kilometers behind the defenses rather than 500 kilometers, which is where they should have been dropped.

We'd have stood out like a sixpence on a sweep's arse.

And so there was sort of absolute horror at not only their impending doom, because they were going to be stopping German panzer reinforcements with small arms, but the fact that the system did not understand what they were about.

So this led to a confrontation between Bill Sterling and Boy Browning, a real one in military terms called an interview without coffee.

As Bill Sterling had written, written to him saying, I have no confidence in you or your staff.

You don't understand what we're doing.

And Bill Sterling wrote a letter about it to Boy Browning, who summoned him for what we in the army call an interview without coffee.

And he was sort of where he went to see Browning and said and Browning gave him the opportunity to withdraw the letter.

And he said, absolutely not.

So that's the house, and then the, her own life and the book.

So in 1932, she marries this guy who ends up becoming Lieutenant General Sir Frederick Browning, who she calls-

She was married to Major General Frederick Boy Browning, who was a highly decorated war hero.
