[playing piano] A set of Three Variations by Frederico Mompou, performed by pianist Jordi Maso, here on Anytime Classical.

I'm gonna, I'll go in a non-jazzy direction.

Um, my favorite composer is Frederick Mompou.

Um, I, uh, you know, to whatever degree you may be familiar or, or not familiar, uh, it's, uh, a lot of it is largely minimalistic piano music, but I, I think it's perfect.

I think it's like everything is so, um, purposeful, and some of the chords he would play, uh, in his tunes that he would write, like they're things like a modern jazz musician would, would play now in 2026, and he wrote a lot of music that was in like early 20th century and, and, um, but he's- There's an album where he's playing his music called Mompou Plays Mompou.

We're, we're, we're gonna come to a close pretty soon, so this is a good time to actually give them some in- guitar information.

So I'm actually, uh, uh, finished transcribing all 28, uh, pieces by, uh, Federico Mompou of Musica Callada, which is, uh, pieces for piano.

I just recorded and videotaped those.

I'm in the process of editing those, and those will be released on vinyl and CD coming up in the next cycle.
