Frédéric Fontang

Well, it has.

He split with Frederic Fontang when he was having one of his best season at The Grand Slams.

You know, obviously getting to the semis at the French, quarters at Wimbledon.

The partnership split.

The amazing Johnny Delgado.

Anyone that knows Johnny, the Delgado family, Jamie Delgado, Paul Delgado, uh, and, and Johnny, who has been a coach for many years, was a, was a great little player, uh, again, many years ago, and also has his own podcast.

And it was brilliant to have Johnny for us to discuss all things US Open 2026.

If anyone had heard our, our Wimbledon review, there was, there was some, a little bit of ranting and raving and, and, and emotions and, you know, there is a ATP meet, coaches meeting on Saturday here in New York, which I'll maybe report back afterwards.

Um, I'm, I'm kind of doing yoga the next two or three days just to try and just, just bring it down, you know, and make sure I go into that meeting, um, a little bit more question based than emotion based.

And, and after that, um, I think that really changed a lot for him because after that match, he said, uh, he, "I'm not the player I thought I was.

I'm, you know, I'm not p- progressing in the way I thought I was." And then he said he was gonna make a decision on his, his coaching team after Wimbledon, you know, after the, the, the busy summer and he obviously decided to s- to split with his coach, Fred Fontang.

Mm-hmm.

Um, so and he's still looking for a coach.
