Has, uh, Freddy Adu spoken about Cavan at all? I'd be curious to get his take on Cavan Sullivan.

I haven't seen or heard from Freddy Adu in a l- in a long time, and that's maybe by design, but it'd been int- interesting to see if he has a take on him.

And when people compare Cavan to Freddie Adu, which I understand and I sympathize with, and Jason, as you know, and Jared, as I believe you know as well, I was in the stands for Freddie Adu's first game at RFK on ABC back in the day.

There are an infinite number of variables for what happens next, but what he's doing right now is so noteworthy.

And I feel so happy for him too, because, you know, the union also have a history with Freddie Adu, who was the last guy who was supposed to do this kind of thing.

And Freddie Adu, one of his last games in the union shirt was against Red Bulls.

When he got sent off, he got a red card in the first half and it was the best half of soccer Freddie Adu ever played for the union, but a perfect encapsulation of his career, which was tons of potential and not a finished product.

And right now, at least for what Kevin Sullivan has shown in the last 12 games.

The potential is there, but so is the product.

So they bring up a 16-year-old.

Cavan Sullivan got called up to the US Men's National Team, second youngest ever after Freddy Adu.

Six goals, five assists in his last eight for Philadelphia.

The window opens really young now.

And then the final name on this list is the name that we mentioned last week.

And we are really hesitant to give this guy the Freddie Adu treatment because that happened.

And I am like scarred for life from that.

I think for me, the interest in Sullivan is that when it first started, I will be first to put my hand up and really say, like, I thought the hype was... way ahead of the player.

I remember when we were both colleagues at ESPN and he was doing the SportsCenter and beyond SportsCenter, like the morning show tour as a 14 year old, because he had been handed this debut with the union to break Freddie Adu's record effectively.

And at that point I said, he didn't deserve it.

You know, the play was not matching the, the opportunities that were being given.

And they asked me to contribute.

And I was there filming for a few days.

And when they brought up Calvin Sullivan, they wanted to draw parallels with Freddie Adu.

And I said, yeah, you can draw parallels if you want.
