jaws brilliant makes this film brilliant i've got some stuff that ties it into jaws oh really a couple times um so obviously 1990s cult creature feature starring kevin bacon and fred ward um couple jack of all trades handymen for a small desert town perfection yes trying to leave for a better life but seem to be stuck when a wave of murders sweep through the town

So Southern Comfort was partially kind of, I want to say, bundled in with Alien in a way.

um and this there's this sort of what's the guy's name he's a producer on this alan his name is as well but anyway there's so so but at the same time this was also financed by this company called because i think fox eventually said no to it this company called the cinema group came in because they had like 30 million bucks just in total that's that's what that was their budget to make movies so they they decided like okay well we can we can we can sponsor this film as long as it's not going to be too expensive so eventually the budget budget for sudden comfort i want to say hit seven and a half million dollars And just turn this into this idea for sending some national guardsmen into the swamp and essentially have them fight for their lives, right? So they cast Powers Booth, they cast Keith Carradine, with whom Waterhill had just worked on The Long Riders, Fred Ward, Peter Coyote, I'm forgetting a few other people as well, and that's mostly it, right?
