Fred the Head

The nickname taken from the first part of him to emerge from the ground.

I'm Matt and I'm your host and this is another mid-week mini, the shorter episodes where we take a case that doesn't necessarily need the full hour-long treatment but absolutely deserves to be told.

And this one is strange.

He had been slim, his hair was short, straight and dark brown, his hands were relatively small, his fingernails were short and apparently well maintained, and his jaw was prominent enough to have been noticeable when he was alive.

But there was something else about him that should have made identifying him considerably easier.

Fred had suffered from a condition called torticollis, or more commonly, wryneck.

It meant his head would naturally have tilted towards his right shoulder.
