Fred Harbinson

Well, yeah, it's interesting, right? A 44-win season last year, they had 98 points.

And, you know, their general manager and head coach, Fred Harbinson, did a real good job.

And that's why he was named the Western Hockey League Executive of the Year because, again, they set a CHL record for the most amount of wins and points by an expansion franchise.

But, you know, they did, Keener, I think it's well documented that they had the four 20-year-olds they were able to use.

And I knew I just, you know what, just leave it all out there.

um i just you know i told myself enjoy the year and just uh see what happens so yeah i was lucky enough to uh you know play a lot and be given a lot of opportunity and uh i was able to find the back of the net and have a really good year personally and then um yeah it was all credited to the team success so like coming in like i said like i thought we were gonna be not so good bunch of young guys but All of a sudden, our coach, Fred Harbinson, he's a winner.

And he brought in all these Americans and guys from around Western Canada.

And for some reason, we just clicked right off the bat.

like,

okay, yeah, whatever.

Uh, two months went on and, um, the night before the expansion draft, I got a call from my agent and he goes, Hey, um, just the Fred Harbinson, the coach of the V's just called me.

He's like super interested in you just making sure like, you know, things unfolded like that'd be a good spot for you.
