Freak Slug

We started the set with The Linda Lindas and Burning Out.

After that, we heard Freak Slug, another UK band artist following 2024's I Blow Out Big Candles from her Amulet album.

The Manchester born multi-instrumentalist Xenia Genovese gave us some shimmering pop music in the song If I Could.

Followed that up with the Band Helen from the Pacific Northwest, some dream pop and shoegaze.

Yeah, absolutely.

And next up we've got Freak Slug with Penny Drop.

This is from the new album Amulet, which we're both very excited for.

Yeah, let's get into it.

that's big for us.

Um, and also the tour we did with Freak Slug.

That was a big highlight because we were big Freak Slug fans.

Yeah.

So, yeah, that was cool.

But they're not the only Manchester artist to make news this week.

Somebody is doing their job right and Manchester's own freak slug, has been turning up everywhere, online and off for me this week.

That's good because she has a new album that came out today.

It's called Amulet.

The first single Freak Slug released from Amulet back in July is called Girl Intentions, and I think it's pretty swell.

It's on our Unlimited Supply official podcast playlist on Spotify, Amazon Music, and Qobuz.

There's a link in the show notes.
