Frazee

We're joined by Michael Johnson, and Michael, tell us what's on this week's cover of Ag Week.

For this week's Ag Week cover story, I spoke with a family of FFA members that stretches back over the last 60 years, and that starts with Roger Schaefer of rural Frazee, Minnesota.

Roger, after completing his FFA career at Frazee more than 50 years ago, is finally gonna earn the honorary American FFA degree, and this is something he's really been looking forward to.

But to make it even better, Roger will be earning that degree the day before his grandson also earns his American FFA degree at the FFA National Convention in Indi- Indianapolis next weekend.

Roger and his wife, Anita, have six children, all involved in FFA, and now their children are also involved in FFA and really starting to go places.

They had their first loss of the season last week against DGF.

Lake Park-Audubon downed Frazee 48-34.

Willmar rolled Detroit Lakes 63 to two.

That might be a scoregami right there if, uh, you know what a scoregami is, folks.

DGF in a rivalry game against Barnesville, they win 37-21.

Perham defeated Hawley 35-18, so a big win for Perham.

Valley City down Central Cass in four sets, while Frazee in Minnesota, well, defeat Hawley in four sets.

Frazee over Hawley in a four setter.

Park Rapids sweeping Pelican Rapids.

Preston says she was disappointed by the defeat but encouraged by voter turnout and hopes city commissioners will do more to reach residents.

A woman who was airlifted to a Fargo hospital after a paddle boat capsized on a lake near Frazee last week has died.

The Becker County Sheriff's Office says Ruth Madison of Bertha died.

She was among four people rescued after the paddle boat, which had a trolling motor attached, flipped over on Eagle Lake October 2nd.

[laughs]

We have been all across Minnesota, and we came to Frazee to see one very important thing.
