Franklinton

It's an open seat with a crowded field and a jungle primary coming up on November 3rd.

Austin Magee is a small business owner and a welder out of Franklinton.

He owns Pittman Industrial, grew up in the district and went to Southeastern Louisiana University and is a husband and father of two beautiful young kids.

His pitch is very simple, guys.

Archbishop Rommel is playing at Nicar.

Pearl River at Franklinton.

Fountain Blue at St. Paul.

Chalmette at Holy Cross.

So a lot of power points still at stake.

Pearl River and Franklinton will be a big one.

Pearl River is kind of floating around that line there south of Foosh.

It is going to be a fun, fun week seven.

If you just give us a couple stops a half, we're gonna be okay with the way we could score." And I think you're starting to see some of that a little bit.

It was, it was a little iffy at times against Franklinton, but got some clutch stops when you needed it, and then obviously against Berwick, you guys took care of business pretty strong.

Well, I thought the, the Franklinton deal, that fell on us offensively-

Yeah

... 'cause we had a chance.

Uh, we were winning that game 21 to 7, had the ball, uh, under a minute left to go, had a chance to put that game away, uh, and we drop a touchdown pass.

We would've had a walk-in touchdown, we drop it, we're forced to punt.

And credit to Franklinton, they've got some talented skill guys, and one of their talented skill guys was able to return a punt 85 yards and put the ball on the doorstep, and they punch it in on the last play of the half and make it a 21-14 game.

Turlings beats Acadiana Renaissance Charter 49 to 14.

Hannon beats Franklinton 40 to 26.

North Webster beats Bossier 22 to nothing.

Scrolling down the list, see if there's any noteworthy ones.

[laughs]

Um, Lutcher beats Franklinton 54 to 41.

Good win for them.

Lutcher needs to clean up some defensive stuff, though.

And that's what it is.

Murray, a sophomore from Franklinton, Louisiana, draws the 5-yard penalty.

Oh, it is not first down 10.

It becomes first down 15 as the ball is marched back to the 43 of LSU.
