Frank-Thorsten Krell

Introduce yourself.

Hello, I'm Dr. Frank Krell.

I'm a coleopterist, that is a beetle scientist, working at the Smithsonian.

Frank and I are racing rush hour traffic out of the city for a little Friday afternoon beetle watching.

To learn more about beetles and see a photo of me holding the Titan beetle, like a very, very brave and not-at-all-weeny podcast host, find us on social media, at Side Door Pod.

We'll also show pictures from the osteoprep lab and Frank's homemade pitfall trap.

For help with this episode, we want to thank Inger Thoresen, Floyd Shockley, and Frank Krell.

Thanks also to Betty Valenis, Randall Kramer, and Ryan Lavery.
