Frank Keating

So I fell back on the politics.

And I started working for a guy who had come back to the state and to run for governor, his name was Frank Keating, drove him around the state for about three months, and one day he jumped in the car, and said, Hey, I need a campaign manager and I think you can do it.

And I said, yes.

And so, uh, that all worked out well.

110th birthday.

With

Governor Frank Keating.

Isn't

So this is back in the day.

This is 93 or 94, back when I was with Congressman Lucas and you were with Governor Keating.

Mm-hmm.

And so 94, excuse me, 98, 97 or 98.

And so on Friday afternoons, the week was over.

I would generally get on the phone and make a round robin of phone calls to different people just to keep up on what's going on in the world.

And on this particular day, one of my calls was to one John Cox in Keating's press office.

And we're just catching up.
