I was BBC Middle East correspondent, first in the Gulf and then in Egypt, and after 9/11, that then morphed into covering security.

They wanted to call me War on Terror Correspondent.

It takes a look at new evidence of a potential Saudi link to 9/11 that was investigated by the BBC.

Frank Gardner, the BBC security correspondent, has had to use a wheelchair for many years after being shot while on assignment in the Middle East.

Here he talks about his regret at being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

This comes as Iran and the US have carried out their biggest exchange of fire since July.

remember Mark Gibbs, we were doing Oran Park, and for some reason Frank Gardner was there and he was trying to, trying to, like, I don't know, impress him or do something, and he certainly did, because Mark had a way of, everyone knew who he was, whether it was Crash Bandit and Wallop or whatever.

But it wasn't long after that that he got invited to and drive on it or do some tests and that.

So he was a pretty good wheel.
