Each version of Batman has his own way of working and his own solution to that problem.

I completely disagree.

I mean, the, the fact that we have Absolute Batman and Matt Fraction, Jimenez Batman together, like, these are two different flavors and, like, they are both awesome.

The Absolute Batman is like, what if we hated Bruce Wayne more than anything in the world, and we're just gonna drag him through the mud every single issue and do the worst possible shit to him at all times, and Nick Dragotta's drawing it.

Hell yeah, that sounds great.

And then Matt Fraction's like, "What if we just did super classic Batman stuff? He's got gadgets." Like, t- how many times am I gonna read Batman fighting the GCPD? I don't know.

Give me 1,000 more times if it's, like, the last issue.

Like, it was so good.

I don't know what it is about Jorge Jimenez's art.

And I think this does a very good job of showing you where Dr. Zeller is, giving some purpose to Gordon and also establishing more of Savage.

Because I kind of feel like since Fraction took over, he kind of inherited the Savage thing.

And it probably wasn't a preference to have Savage controlling and that not have come to its head yet.

So I think this showed Savage quickly, but efficiently as a real prick.

And that leads into Batman number 13, which is Matt Fraction, writer.

He says, renumbering works.

It should be a must when a new, permanent, and long-term creative team comes on in like Fraction and Batman.

So that's a new volume of Batman there.

If the writers only for a few issues fill in writers, no need to renumber or whatever.

But I think you're wrong.

I think the power of comics actually comes from the length of time that things are in and rather from the eras in which people write.

It's fun to be like, oh, the Hickman era, the Bendis era, the Matt Fraction era, the Tom King era, because that itself creates a natural separation of creative team and story where if you're just renumbering, The reason that I hate it is because when I'm trying to find a Marvel Volume 1 of... spider-man something there's 17 different number one trade paperbacks that i could pick that all say spider-man or the amazing spider-man and there is no sense of breaking that up if you have that long continuity i think that actually makes for a cleaner ability to separate and segment story because it's at the very least almost like manga it's volume 17 of something or it's just a packaged solo tom king whatever you know

and then like think about it this way like let's use amazing spider-man for example right it has six volumes volume three started in 2014
