Marc ChildsHOST
Yeah.
Robert N. SkirGUEST
And he was there when they were putting together Project X, which was a super secret show.
Robert N. SkirGUEST
Uh, Project X was, Fox was going to take on the Disney afternoon.
Robert N. SkirGUEST
They were going to do that in a sham.
Robert N. SkirGUEST
The head of Fox said, um, uh, like, like Disney was like, "The afternoons are ours.
Robert N. SkirGUEST
They were going to have Saturday morning cartoons, and they were gonna be a dot.
Robert N. SkirGUEST
And that was all the nets had, Saturday morning cart- And, uh, you know, several nets either had, you know, syndicated or, you know, they, they had animation blocks.
Robert N. SkirGUEST
And so Fox said, "Okay, we're gonna, we're gonna plant our flag with Project X." Project X was something that if Disney knew they were doing it, they would've just done a cease and desist immediately and gotten it shut down.
Anna KeizerHOST
Yeah, a lot of Thundercats.
Anna KeizerHOST
Peter Pan and the Pirates, The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest.
Anna KeizerHOST
Those are just a couple of the ones that he's worked on, but there you go.
Anna KeizerHOST
Okay, so the final two people that are credited.
Spencer WilliamsHOST
And if you've never seen the film or miniseries, you've definitely still seen his character.
Spencer WilliamsHOST
Curry was also an extraordinary voice performer, lending his unmistakable voice to characters in Ferngully: The Last Rainforest, The Rugrats Movie, Rugrats in Paris, The Wild Thornberrys, Peter Pan and the Pirates, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Spencer WilliamsHOST
I believe he voiced Emperor Palpatine, which is pretty badass.
Elizabeth Joy GlassHOST
[gasps] Really?
Caleb DoerksenHOST
Among other roles, he played Long John Silver in Muppet Treasure Island, Wadsworth in the movie Clue, Rooster Hannigan in the 1982 Annie movie, and Mr. Hector the Concierge in Home Alone 2 Lost in New York, and he voiced the villain Forte in Beauty and the Beast The Enchanted Christmas, in which he was one of the better things about that movie.
Caleb DoerksenHOST
Captain Hook in Fox's Peter Pan and the Pirates, not Disney's Captain Hook, Hexus in Ferngully the Last Rainforest, Drake in The Pebble and the Penguin, Nigel Thornberry in The Wild Thornberries, and Palpatine in Star Wars The Clone Wars.
Caleb DoerksenHOST
But arguably his most well-known role in anything is playing Dr. Frankenfurter in both the original Rocky Horror Show on stage and the Rocky Horror Picture Show back in the 1970s.
Caleb DoerksenHOST
In fact, his role as Dr. Frankenfurter really helped launch his career in acting, and with how his performance is in Rocky Horror, it's easily my favorite and my go-to role from Tim Curry.
Ryan LambertGUEST
We became friends with some of the cast members and, um, And he kind of continued his adventure going there, and I kind of pulled away.
Ryan LambertGUEST
But he did a cartoon, and he was one of the Lost Boys in a cartoon called Peter Pan and the Pirates.
Ryan LambertGUEST
Tim Curry was Captain Hook.
Zak ShafferHOST

Jennifer L. AndersonHOST
And Pirates.
Jennifer L. AndersonHOST
Peter Pan and the Pirates.
Jennifer L. AndersonHOST

Jennifer L. AndersonHOST
Darkness.
11 MINS LATER
Jennifer L. AndersonHOST
Oh my god, I love that show.
Jennifer L. AndersonHOST
Hexodus from Gully.
Jennifer L. AndersonHOST
Hook from Peter Pan and the Pirates, It, Pennywise, Hunt for Red October, The Worst Witch, which is the worst movie ever, and of course he's amazing in it.
Jennifer L. AndersonHOST
Wadsworth and Clue, Darkness and Legend, and Rooster and Annie.
CherieHOST
Yes, so he did voices for those and the movies.
CherieHOST
He did a voice in Fox's Peter Pan and the Pirates.
CherieHOST
I don't remember that.
CherieHOST
I don't either.
8 MINS LATER
CherieHOST
It was a lot.
CherieHOST
I'll touch on just a few, mainly the ones that he won.
CherieHOST
But he actually won a Daytime Emmy for his performance in the Peter Pan and the Pirates children's series, which, again, I was not familiar with.
CherieHOST
No. but he won a daytime annie for that uh yep as we mentioned he was nominated for three tonys for his work on broadway sadly did not win any of them but he uh he was nominated for them of course and this kind of surprised me he actually didn't seem to win any he was nominated for some awards for the rocky horror show but didn't win any which kind of surprised me for that he got a grammy award for the best, in 2002, for the best spoken word album for children.
JimmyHOST
So I guess I would say Clue.
JimmyHOST
I also want to say that, yes, he was in Muppet Treasure Island, but also he was Captain Hook in Peter Pan and the Pirates, which I watched a lot when I was a kid.
BrandonHOST
Yeah, I, um, my first thing I saw him in was, I believe, Home Alone 2.
BrandonHOST
But my favorite, my favorite role of his, I, and it's funny because I did not watch all of Clue for the longest time.
