And in the end, Zodak doesn't just forgive Xanthor, he turns him into a fully-fledged cosmic enforcer on the spot, complete with a uniform just like Zodak's.

After the Filmation cartoon ended in 1985, not counting the She-Ra follow-up series or the ill-fated New Adventures reboot in the 90s, it would be almost two decades before we'd see He-Man and the Masters of the Universe back in a big way, with a genuinely well-done reboot series by Mike Young Productions, and a toyline designed by Four Horsemen Studios.

And this revival would be especially significant for the character of Zodak, fleshing him out even further and cementing his role not just in this new continuity, but in the franchise moving forward.

First and foremost was his name.

After that quick live action hiccup, Things got back on track for Masters of the Universe in 2002, with the reboot by Mike Young Productions, featuring modernized, way cooler versions of our heroic and evil warriors, hyper-anime looks courtesy of the Four Horsemen Studios.

In the show, Teela is a much younger character, hungrier, desperate to prove herself to her stepfather, Duncan, still a very accomplished warrior and ally to He-Man, and still carrying a secret parentage mystery.

This time, with a whole new wrinkle thrown in.

And that was all she wrote, not just for Ninjor, but for the toyline itself, which essentially ended in 1988, closing the chapter on the original run of Masters of the Universe.

When the next significant chapter of the franchise rolled around in the early 2000s, in the form of the cartoon reboot by Mike Young Productions and the accompanying toyline featuring modern, hyper-anime-inspired character redesigns by the very talented Four Horsemen Studios, Both Jitsu and Ninjor were left out.

And while you could blame the unfortunately short lifespan of the show and the toyline, I'm pretty sure these same racially fueled reasons played a huge role as well.

Which is quite a shame.
