Fountain Correctional Facility

Construction near Atmore could begin in October and take approximately 30 months.

The first phase will include more than 2,000 beds across 26 buildings on 195 acres adjacent to Fountain Correctional Facility which will eventually be demolished.

The project will replace existing beds rather than add capacity.

Milwaukee County, Wisconsin's Capital Improvements Committee unanimously advanced an $896 million plan to build the Investing in Justice Courthouse Complex, a new criminal courthouse replacing the nearly century-old safety building.
