Fort Yuma Indian Reservation

One, specifically with Roberto and the work that he was doing, I think he inspired me to do similar work like that here on my reservation.

So I have like 10 acres on the reservation and now actually submitted a grant to build some traditional homes on the For Yuma Reservation develop like a language immersion village so using traditional home styles and things like that but I think seeing the work that Roberta was doing and building those things I think it really inspired me you know and I encourage people I don't know I'm going to say this Roberto but I encourage people to go and go out and see the work that Roberto's doing I think it's pretty it's beautiful when you get out there and you see it um and stuff but uh You know, I think that kind of inspired me to, you know, reach out to my community, decide to do something like this, and, you know, see what happens, you know, because we have our own traditional style homes here, and it would be nice to see us get back into it.

Not like the Hogan, a little bit different from the Hogan, but kind of earthen homes, you know, and stuff.

But I think overall for the episode and the year and a half that I spent working on this project, I think the one thing that I came back out of this was having this relationship with the land.
