Fornication is a generic term.

The word is porneia in the Greek, and of course he's talking about Matthew 5.32, where Jesus said that anyone who divorces his wife for any cause other than porneia causes her to commit adultery, and if he marries, he's committing adultery.

So What is porneia? Well, it's translated fornication in the King James English.

Adultery is a species of fornication.

That's the point.

Fornication includes that and more.
