So, you know, they did a lot of testing with this young man, which brings to mind, Paul, if you think about it, I think Camara, who's coming in, he did a lot of old car, previous car testing with Haas and everything.

And I was thinking about it over the weekend and I thought – You know, if all of that testing, and maybe that's why they put a cap on it now, because if all of that testing is really how these teams are vetting these young drivers like that and not in F2 or F3, and you have all these parents paying a small fortune to get their kids in F2 and F3, and what you really should be doing is trying to pay for a test in an old car.

Yeah.

We know that Ocon is out of a race seat at Haas anyway next year.

Rafa Kamara, who's fighting for the F2 title, will take his seat next season.

But Ocon, seemingly his time at Haas and possibly as a Formula One driver is over.

Well, I've been inside the walls of the Stuart Haas and I've heard some of the conversations that have happened in the past with F1 situations and Jean and Joe and I think that That doesn't surprise me.

Um, I Okamatsu, um, took the responsibility on his own shoulders and said that it was, it was ultimately his decision.

Um, the decision now though is, um, you know, who did they replace Esteban with here? A cow has got a wet title to fight for this weekend.

Rafa camera still has an F2 title to fight for, but will they hand him a, a dream formula one debut on home soil in Brazil? They have Jack doing their reserve driver, uh, their other reserve driver, um, who could step into the mix.

Um, but yeah, I, I. I feel for Esteban.

I think one right off the bat to say is that Colton Hurtis still doesn't have his super licensed points because I'd love to rag on Cadillac for this, but it's actually not their fault in the slightest.

It's the FIAs and Formula 2.

Formula 2, he tied on points last year with whoever he tied on points with in IndyCar.

But he on countback should have been seventh, not sixth, which is where they had him.

So all the official sources said that he was sixth.

It was the 1972 world champion driving in the absolutely stunning black and gold Lotus.

I'll give you a hint.

His kids are racing in Formula 2 and 3.

Yeah, but the issue is they won't take him out of his F2 season.

I think it'd be good practice to get him in.

I mean this genuinely.

I'm just going to, like, fact check this, but he is leading in the F2 championship, right?

But racing bulls has kind of always existed to be the proving ground for future Red Bull racing drivers, the senior team.

The only person who could replace him is Nicholas Solov, who's a driver in Formula Two.

And basically, the way I'm kind of reasoning it to myself is that if Red Bull kind of go, well, we tried it with Liam and Red Bull before.

It didn't work.

Therefore there's no chance he could get back there in the future.

But this guy in formula two, he could maybe should we just go with him sooner rather than later, instead of sticking with Liam to me, like if I were running that team, I would make zero change whatsoever.

I'd stick with Liam, give Sol of a big testing program and stuff for next year, because, um, yeah, that's, that's the only way I can work it out.

Cause it just makes no sense to me otherwise.

Yeah, but now they're going to Brazil.

Now, does it make sense to pull The guy you've already signed who's fighting for an F2 championship right now to pull him out of that F2 race next week and put him in the car the way Oliver Behrman did a couple of years ago when Ferrari needed him to replace Sainz, even though he was competing in F2 at the time.

Depends on what their goals are and where they can make the most money.

If there's money to be had in F2 or whatever.

There's not a lot.

Or the prestige or if it helps with.

He's looking at all his Formula One options, throwing all his eggs in a Formula One car.

He doesn't have a career at this point beyond racing in Formula Two, but he's not considering IndyCar because he's still chasing that Formula One dream.

Drivers are willing to sacrifice their a year or two or even three before they look at IndyCar, particularly at this point in their career.

If you look at someone like a Valtteri Bottas, who's perhaps at the other end of the career and looking at the door, IndyCar is very, very viable.

He's looking at all his Formula One options, throwing all his eggs in a Formula One car.

He doesn't have a career at this point beyond racing in Formula Two, but he's not considering IndyCar because he's still chasing that Formula One dream.
