We discussed on the weekend what we were going to do, and...
Joaquin GageHOST

Yeah, something that I think I've been looking forward to watching and learning and seeing how it develops over the 84-game schedule and at the end result to see if they can put their, as they say in F1, car in the right window to contend.
Hernan SalasHOST
0:39
Yeah, I mean, we've got to meet soon with Benny and Reid, both pre and post.

I mean, some of the cars on display from his collection, the Simtec Formula One car, there was a Glenn Seaton V8 here on the weekend.

Yeah, and a 95 Peter Jackson AF Falcon.
James MoffatHOST

That looked really smart.
Niels HeusinkveldGUEST

It's kind of funny.
Niels HeusinkveldGUEST

So Renato, of course, did physics himself, uh, for SimBin, I think, uh, pre- before doing, uh, going to rFactor 1, and he did the Grand Prix '79 mod, which is really cool with the s- late '70s Formula 1 cars.
Niels HeusinkveldGUEST
14:19
And it was one of the earlier really well-done mods, and I was at my just starting with rFactor.
Niels HeusinkveldGUEST
14:26
I was a bit angry and, and young back then because the handling disappointed me a bit.

Ross McGregorPANELIST

So if we circle back a little bit, um, how big a jump was it to work on AMS over kinda Game Stock Car and your, your previous sorta little mod projects? Um, wa- was it kinda more of a evolution rather than revolution type thing, or, um, was it something a bit different? [chuckles]
Niels HeusinkveldGUEST
21:39
In, in some ways it was just more or less, uh, an evolution because the basis was identical to, uh, Game Stock Car, so, uh, we could basically just copy-paste, uh, everything and it would work.
Niels HeusinkveldGUEST
21:51
The difficulty with, with AMS 1 was suddenly we had the source code, so with- wh- when we did the first car for rFactor 1, the Amaroli, an '80s Formula 1 type turbo car, uh, and then Game Stock Car, we were just limited to whatever was in the source code that Image Space, uh, had in their engine at the time.
Niels HeusinkveldGUEST
22:10
With AMS, we had the source code that we could also modify, and that of course makes it really interesting because you can add stuff.
