Formula BMW

So I think he should be able to put it all together by the end of the season.

Now we come to also at Hockenheim, uh, Formula BMW Europe.

We have a case of six-pack Gutierrez.

Young Mexican driver Esteban Gutierrez is on a hot roll.

He won both races from pole position and also recorded the fastest lap in each race.

He is now unbeaten in the last six races of Formula BMW Europe series.

The only event he did not win was the opening round in Barcelona in April, where he was on podium in both races, and both those races were won by Adrien Tambay.

And you interviewed him right after that opening round.

And, again, for a driver still very young, what is he, 20, in his second season, I thought that was a really impressive performance from him in that regard.

Obviously, it wasn't so impressive that he hit the wall in Q1, didn't need to do that, but... recovery and limiting the damage is so important and that line about winning championships on your bad days is one I've gone to the well to use that so many times over the years I remember talking about that when I was covering British Formula BMW in uh in 2004 and it's won by a driver called tim bridgman who got to f3 loved it very fast driver actually and he's quite a good story because and i've completely digressed here but he won that that championship the first year of formula bmw in the uk formula bmw gb it had to be called in that first year basically running as a very privateer operation with a race box trailer and sort of basically one person running it up against teams like Carlin, Fortex.

So it was a really good story.

But he went to Alden Park and was just really struggling, really, really bad.

Both of them started their motor racing career here in the United States.

Sergio in the Skip Barber Series and Esteban in the 2007 Formula BMW US Series.

And I remember very well that he started both his first two races at the Miller Motorsports Park from pole position.

Few words on McLaren Honda.

It's always good to see deserving drivers get the results they and their family members worked so hard for.

I am hoping this will get the attention of Haas F1 or one of the top teams in IndyCar racing.

Hi, this is Alexander Rossi, 2008 Formula BMW America's and World Final Champion, and you're listening to F1Weekly.com.

Now some results from this past weekend.
