Formics

And the Kodan Armada, led here by Lord Kril, possibly named after the Sequest Station, though the Kodan look a lot more reptilian, and they kind of act insectile.

They kinda remind me of the Formics of Ender's Game, or even the Borg, this whole idea of the hive mind.

And the film, to me, shares similarities with Ender's Game, uh, it's, the book that is, in the idea that the protagonist was playing a simulation against an overwhelming force, and Ender's Game, very similar.

Um, though in that we finally find out, spoilers for Ender's Game, that he is not necessarily playing a simulation, that the things he's doing are being done against the enemy, so he ends up, you know, wiping them out through his simulations because they are real.
