The driver who slammed her SUV into a city bus in Los Angeles, killing two people on Tuesday, will face murder charges.

Los Angeles DA Nathan Hochman says Bailey Lynn Rios was speeding and impaired when she drove her Ford Expedition the wrong way down a busy street, running a red light and hitting another vehicle before slamming into the bus.

She had narcotics in the car at that time.

She was driving well beyond the speed limit.

36-year-old Bailey Rios was booked for murder.

She allegedly drove a 2004 Ford Expedition at excessive speeds, running red lights and slamming into a Los Angeles Metro bus, killing two victims inside.

Rios was due in court to face a judge on Thursday morning, but she was unable to attend the court hearing due to a medical reason.

A vigil taking place tonight for the victims killed in both incidents.

White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly wrote, "The UN Human Rights Council has accomplished nothing for human rights while spouting unserious nonsense for decades," adding, "The only party in this conflict that has committed war crimes is the Iranian regime." The case is being forwarded to the district attorney's office, which will decide whether to file the charges in court or pursue different ones.

The helicopter, which was used by NBC and Telemundo, crashed about two hours after police say Rios drove her 2004 Ford Expedition the wrong way down a busy avenue, ran a red light, and struck a vehicle before hitting the bus.

One passenger was fully ejected from the bus, and another was partially ejected, police said.

NBC4 Los Angeles reported that two people aboard the helicopter, reporter Eliana Moreno and pilot George Marconu, were killed when the chopper went down Tuesday in the Chatsworth neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley north of downtown.

It's not extended, but it has three rows and my trunk is not huge.
