Forces of Nature

He doesn't direct another movie for about five years, which will be another Hugh Grant romantic comedy, right? Music and lyrics.

But he has written certain scripts, three of which we have talked about on this show, right? Which is Forces of Nature, The Out-of-Towners, and Miss Congeniality.

Two of them are with Sandra Bullock.

So he clearly, I think, understands- kind of how to write for her and what are her strengths and it does work there's a bit of that miscongeniality character in here yeah And she really kind of gets the kind of, like, I am an important, like, the kind of, like, I am good at my job.

Alright, let's get into the making of the film.

So Bullock had worked with screenwriter Mark Lawrence previously on the romantic comedy Forces of Nature, which came out a year prior to Miss Congeniality.

Bullock loved this dark sense of humor, and much of that carried over to Miss Congeniality.

Lawrence would work again with Bullock on the sequel, and then the film Two Weeks Notice.

Okay.

So she's in the films Dead Women in Lingerie, The Linguini Incident, White Sands, The Temp, Mercy, Primal Fear, Liar Liar, Primary Colors, Forces of Nature, Oxygen, Instinct, Scotland, PA, Insomnia, Melvin Goes to Dinner, Welcome to Mooseport, Diggers, The Go-Getter, Semi-Pro, Baby Mama, Nature Calls, Beautiful Boy, The Report, The Iron Claw, and Twisters.

She was main cast in The Van Dyke Show, 704 Hauser, Newsradio, ER, Sammy, The Whole Truth, The Affair, and American Rust.

She had recurring roles in Rescue Me, The Good Wife, and Your Honor.
