If we talk quickly about Forbidden Planet stating that this Wednesday or this past Wednesday, all sales are getting ripped at certain stores, I didn't do that because I didn't need to.

yeah absolutely uh uh well i mean for me what it was is i'd sort of i'd made that transition earlier on so in the um in the sort of early 2000s I presented some TV and I used to present a show on Turner Classic Movies.

And they were showing you the way once they're giving you these basic tweaks.

and then you were free to run with that as far as you want and i thought that was great so that was probably the first time i actually saw myself on camera was like oh no that's not work that that's just not look that's not playing out the way i think it is do

you know what i mean 100% and you were saying as well about conventions because recently you did the Steve Ditko panel at San Diego so you were doing a panel there and that was recorded and that's available on Forbidden Planet television and the Ditkoverse I think YouTube channel as well so when did you start doing convention panels?

That was like a long time ago so I'd done quite a lot of like you know hosting and emceeing public events.

I do that thing that I think is probably familiar to Doctor Who fans, is that if there was an exciting episode coming up, something like, say, Flashback, the 30th anniversary episode for Star Trek Voyager, where Tuvok has memories of serving on the Excelsior with Captain Sulu.

I personally didn't have Cable or Sky, so I went out to Forbidden Planet in Edinburgh and got the novelization done.

And I started meeting other people who are into comics and, um, I think I started like a Blogspot where I was just uploading like little like strips or whatever, you know, just like little autobio things.
