For Honor

No, it's not Flappy Bird.

It is called For Honor.

I'm having fun with it.

I'm playing it again.

It's not really in the budget, but I might be able to make it happen.

We'll kind of see how that all works out.

I'm playing For Honor, attempting to play some Halo here and there.

Some Total War games.

Um, I haven't even talked about the combat.

The combat system plays very similar to, uh, For Honor, if you've ever played For Honor.

And again, I play a lot of Ubisoft games, so obviously directional combat for blocking, up, down, left, right.

Just so Jesse has context, there was a massive amount of shit talk about For Honor from jordan and then uh randomly one night uh we were playing we were high as fuck playing well i was high as fuck playing games so we're playing like peak and then for honor got booted up and man it looked like a high schooler bullying a fucking elementary school kid i was just fucking combo chaining him throwing it and then like he finally got like one kill and was

like see i'm not that bad i did not get one kill i did not get one kill

This is the one we talked about.

It borrows the Bushiri Blade attack or the For Honor attacking system where left, right, up, and down attacks from your bad guys for defense.

And then eventually, as you're leveling up your skills, there is another thing you unlock.

So naturally, Ubisoft looked at all this great progress and said, not so fast.

For Honor is a game that's a fighting game.

It's being intentionally blocked from Linux users and SteamOS players starting on September 10th, all in the name of anti-cheat.

Ubisoft explicitly says that they're removing For Honor from Linux on September 10th, 2026.

Now, this is including not just Linux in general.

It's like a SteamOS and Steam Deck thing as well.

It's a lot more complicated than we have time for.

But it is interesting that Ubisoft previously went the opposite direction.

I like For Honor.

But I don't know if I want to do it against five guys at a time every five minutes for 80 hours.

Like, the main thing that I keep thinking of when I see footage, even the footage of, like, recent footage, this is a little older, but, like, even recent footage, I'm like, these fights are taking a while.
