We're going to talk with Mike Griffith.

He's past president of the Football Writers Association of America and Mr. Southeastern Conference.

It's a little game this weekend, Rob, in Tuscaloosa, Georgia, and Alabama.

Be right back.

Yes, we will be jumping into Poll Assassin here momentarily.

We will be letting you know the latest about the FWAA Pop Tarts Bowl Crazy Good Team of the Week.

Very, very special honoree, one that you might have had to stay up a little bit late for.

That's the only hint that I'll give you.

The Idaho Vandals Had zero wins heading into Friday on this season.

Montana State, number one team in the country, coming to the Kibbie Dome, 14-point fourth quarter lead, and it was not enough.

Because the FWAA is going to announce today that this week the Pop Tarts Bowl Crazy Good Team of the Week is the Idaho Vandals for storming back in the fourth quarter, the game-winning touchdown, the game-winning two-point conversion to walk it off with a 35 to 34 win.

I mean, if you look at the way that Joshua Wood held things together, he completed 19 of 25 passes for the game for 315 yards, two touchdowns, and a rushing touchdown, and it was an 80-yard drive capped by a 25-yard touchdown pass before Wood himself put the team on his back, sent the Kibbie Dome bananas, and, and was able to give the Vandals a huge win in this early part of the year.

He is considered one of the nation's most respected beat writers and columnists.

He's also the former president of the Football Writers Association of America.

Um, well another, uh, another offense that's doing just well and is getting a little bit of complimentary play, uh, happens to come from our FWAA Pop-Tarts Bowl Crazy Good Team of the Week.

Yes, we got the official announcement from the selectors from the All-America Committee of the Football Writers Association of America, and the Pop-Tarts Bowl Crazy Good Team of the Week is the Florida Gators.

Now, obviously there's the headline stuff, right? You know, you get Jayden Ball running wild.

So that's, 2022 season doesn't end up finishing the way you want.

2023 season, 2024 season, 2025 season, this has been a long time since the Gators have been standing out as one of the best teams in the country, and now here they are.
