Food plot

That's so cool.

And we're going to talk about fall food plots, planting in the dust with no rain.

And we just got a ton of stuff to talk about.

When I go to Western Kentucky to hunt on my buddy's place, I can ride about 45 minutes to Katie's Kentucky, which is where that big timber job that we talked about last week that Midwest Land Group is listing.

I'm going to go down there and walk those food plots and adjust the maps for the potential buyers coming in on onX.

So I get to spend a day, day and a half down there with the seller.

I know mine.

It's so hard, though, to bow hunt for me just because I'm still trying to plant food plots.

It's hotter than blazes.

I can't do it.

yeah true true so if you want to grow a nice little dove patch just go buy some wild bird seed at your wally mart and then throw it out and let it grow

Speaking of growing, now's the time to grow stuff for our food plots, man.

It's a little dry right now.

My gosh, the rain we've gotten this year and the timing of it.

yeah that's my one camera that got knocked over figures so uh but yeah i mean there's been deer and it looks great yeah i mean it looks awesome deer hammer in it there's deer in there all the time so the yeah growing season for food plots is it's been awesome uh there's no question normally like we plant and then we're praying for rain and it's been you know At least here in northern Illinois.

I think southern Illinois, they haven't gotten rain in like a month.

There's going to be just a tremendous soybean harvest in my area.

Speaking of food plots, we're setting here the middle of August.

We were talking about what we had to go get done this week.

I got a little bit of ground to get ready for a fall plot.

And.

So I got an acre of sweet corn that'll need to be put in cover crop and then a couple fall plots.

So getting the ground ready for that and be planting food plots for probably, it'll be another couple of weeks before I plant, but I'll be ready to get that pH drill out and do some more testing with that M7 series.

So, all right, rain, drones, customer feedback.

And then j- we just made, like, a...

I like leaving some structure in the middle of these food plots, just to kinda break them up, and so that actually worked out pretty good, 'cause some of those stumps had pine trees growing up by them, you know, like white pines.
