Folsom Cordova Unified School District

Uh, and they made a pitch today at a gathering in, uh, in Roseville.

And I was-- It's, it's just heartening to see that there are still extraordinarily good people who are stepping up to do good things, uh, from a congressional campaign to a, uh, community college, uh, board of trustees, to, uh, to local school boards in San Juan and, uh, Cordova, Folsom Cordova, respectively.

Uh, so good news there.

And, uh, you know, I had, uh, planned on having a discussion today on Proposition 37.

So again, I had occasion to, uh, to, to spend some time with some people today.

Rob Tucker, who's a candidate for, um, for United States Congress running against Omni- Ami Bera in a newly established Proposition 50 district.

Uh, Chris Frederick is a candidate for, uh, Folsom Cordova School Board.

Uh, he's a very, very c- concerned father who, who wants what's best for the community and kids, his own and others.

And that is absolutely true.

But I think at the time and his comment about the schools really bothered me because at the time I was actually on a school board, Folsom Cordova Unified School District, where we were fighting desperately to reopen our schools because we saw our kids were struggling.

We saw the the academic, I think, hits that our kids were taking because of these closures.

And we were in a community that had far lower covid rates than the rest of our county.
