Folds of Honor

Yeah.

Uh, changed the trajectory of my life big time but uh i was at a folds of honor gala in

chicago

um for those of you who don't know folds of honor is a charity gives scholarships of fallen soldiers and first responders families uh but what's i shouldn't say it's out loud but i was there for the wrong reasons i just ended up buying a round of golf with a golf celebrity not because I was passionate about the charity I just want to play golf with Craig Stadler and what I didn't know when I bought it was I signed up to a pro-am on Memorial Day and so 2013 I went to this outing in Tulsa Oklahoma and I ended up spending the weekend with the troops and the families of during Memorial Day and I really got the meaning of what Memorial Day was and And I, even more so, I got an understanding of what these families sacrifice and the, not just the veterans in the military, but the family sacrifice and we all benefit from it.

So I kind of had this patriotic awakening in 2013, which ultimately, I guess, got me on your show here 13 years later.

But yeah, it was a big, it was a big eye opener for me to see what, what it's all about, why America's great, what these people do.

I bet that was something you didn't expect.

Unequivocally not.

You are covering, for the very first time, the Folds of Honor Collegiate.

It is an honor and a privilege to bestow the title of Golf Channel's College Golf Expert onto you if for just a couple of days.

How are things going in Michigan?

I know that's a sore subject for you.

I did wanna touch on it.

So this event, it's the Folds of Honor Collegiate.

It's at a golf course called American Dunes.

Terrific collegiate event, which began yesterday in Grand Haven, Michigan.

The Folds of Honor Collegiate.

It's one of the greatest golf experiences I've ever had.

The home of Folds of Honor, owned by Lieutenant Colonel Dan Rooney and founded Folds of Honor and Patriot Golf Club in Elasa, Oklahoma is the sister course to that.

So hope we get a chance to play that.
