Foals

Mm-hmm.

Um, there was Foals.

Foals were kind of coming up then.

They're obviously like a huge band now, um, on Sub Pop and stuff, but they were, there was the Edmund Fitzgerald before them, that was members of Foals.

Mm-hmm.

Um, um, so it ki- kind of like when we started, we, when we were ready to do shows and when we started playing shows, um, it was nice that there was other, there were other bands that we could kind of connect with and, and again, through MySpace and stuff like that, um, end up kind of coming and playing in Oxford or like down in Kingston near London and, you know, up in Leeds and stuff like that.

I've been there.

So I remember seeing, um, F- Foals at, um, First Direct Arena in Leeds, like, years ago.

And like-

What album would that have been?

Um, looking for a spawn.

Happy for Avanti to do it, uh, if you bring back the quiet coach.

Um, so yeah, your worst gig, potentially Foals.

Yeah.

if you wanna like really dig down.

Foals I think are a British band.

Yes.

Foals, wow, yeah.

I think it worked in Bloc Party's favor in such a unique way though, where it's like they're not the British band that sounds American in delivery.

It's like the, you, you hear the accent every syllable.

Yes.

Their guitarist, Luke Smith, is now a respected producer and worked on Foal's Total Life Forever.

Oh, really? Okay, nice, good.
