Fly My Pretties

When I really started getting into jazz was in the 90s, early to mid-90s, as a late teenager, and that's when you were questing around and trying new things.

And a couple of people, actually age prior, who, I don't know if you know the name, from Fly My Pretties and his own kind of thing, he flicked me... copy of Nathan Haynes' Shift Left, which is still the biggest selling New Zealand jazz album.

And about the same time, Louisa Burgess, who was on Shortland Street years ago, she was in the Wellington Youth Orchestra and she was playing some acid jazz and I grabbed a tape of her of Incognito's Tribes, Vibes and Scribes.

They're an acid jazz band from Britain.
