You have what we call these highly conserved signals, and so it tries to be as efficient as it can, and even though there's a gajillion signals in the body, it is incredibly rare for something to do just one thing.

One of the biggest examples of this are the, the COX receptors, which is what we use for drugs like Bute and Banamine.

Yep.

The reason we can have some GI side effects from those is that not only do those receptors work on inflammation, they also work on blood flow to the GI tract.

but they're still coming as injectables.

They are.

And you have said on this show before, especially regarding certain other products, that you should never as a horse owner inject anything into your horse other than, like, Banamine, right?

You should, well, you should have an understanding of what that is.

And then we have our phenicols.

So that would be Nuflor, Longflor, or Resflor, which also has flunixin meglumine or Banamine combined with it.

And then our fluoroquinolones, which would be your Baytrils, Advocin, Pratellix.

And one thing I like to highlight with the fluoroquinolones is those antibiotics are also a clinically important drug in human medicine, so we have restrictions when it comes to using that antibiotic.

I think we talked a lot about the antibiotics.

I guess one thing I would add is we do have other things that we can do treatment-wise.

So there's supplemental treatments such as Banamine that will reduce a fever.

So taking a rectal temperature of sick animals, just seeing if they have a fever or not.
