Flubber

But...

You know, I named my business, I started it after I graduated college, and I named my business after my role model, the scientist who made Flubber in the movie Flubber.

You remember Robin Williams in Flubber? That was the character he was based off of, Dr.

Brainerd.

And everybody's talking about Flubber all the time, and everybody knew the word Flubber, and I just thought it was time for Dr. Brainerd to get some credit.

So that's why I kind of named it that.

But, you know, been in a lot of industries.

I felt like

I was watching Flubber, that Robin Williams movie.

It just did it.

which is a lot of green.

But again, it's that sort of digital matrix look to it.

Flubber has that green blobby stuff, fluid stuff that flies everywhere.

I mean, we saw it on a more limited degree in Flubber, right? Like, it's just-

... a, a character that on paper is wholly unlikable.

And Jumanji was, like, in the eights for me.

Like, Flubber was a little bit lower.

To some older ones.

Last time you were like, "We could watch Bedtime Stories." I was like, "No, we're done." [laughs] Did you guys watch Flubber growing up?

Oh, we almost watched that one.

I don't remember it.

Flubber, and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids next to each other i- as a reference in the queue.

And it's like, yeah, those are kind of the same thing, aren't they? And then we've got Nigel Channing, and it's just, like, wacky science magic.

Magic? I guess it is kind, [laughs] kind of magic.

But in doing so, you would walk through, and they, you still do.

It's exactly the same as it's been forever.

You walk through there and you see all these doors for, like, you know, Professor Brainard from the, from Flubber, or you see, um, you know, the stuff from the Computer Wore Tennis Shoes in there, and just all these wacky, uh, scientists, to your point, that have been throughout Disney, and Wayne Szalinski is one of them.

And so then they had that, but then you would go from that ride to then the Honey, I Shrunk the Audience, which before this was Captain EO with Michael Jackson.

Like Robin Williams, that was really hard for me as well.

You know, because I grew up watching Jumanji and Hook and Flubber and Jack and just like all of the movies, you know, that I grew

up watching.

Oh, it's society we had to study at school.
