Florennes

For example, recently, again, I just mentioned that your, your F-14 Tomcat Wizzo, uh, they, taking a, I think two and a half to three year, maybe, I was thinking two and a half years exchange tour with the Royal Air Force flying the F3 Tornado.

Uh, but then there were what we also called exchange tours, but they were typically like a two-week thing where, uh, in this case, we flew some F-111s to Florennes Air Base in Belgium.

Uh, at the time, they were flying the Mirage F5.

They converted a few, just a couple, three years later to the F-16, but, uh, at the time they were still flying the Mirage 5, so that was very interesting.

Um, so we flew...

They, uh, they also, uh, sent some of their aircraft to Lakenheath, uh, although I wasn't involved in that part of the exchange, but I was deployed to, to Florennes as part of that exchange.

I, I can't remember exactly how many airplanes we, we took, but it was at least six, probably, six F-111s.

Mm-hmm.
