Flood

So who is this?

They Might Be Giants from 1990's Flood, their platinum album.

Oh, thank you very much.

They Might Be Giants.

We've got a few flood ones.

This was from an interview from 1990, a radio interview that was newly found.

And I listened to it and I went, ah, there's a lot of good Flood stuff in here.

You know what I'm saying? I do.

I really do.

So this is about theme from Flood.

And there's a comparison that Flansburg makes that I'm like, why didn't we think of that? Not you, Dave.

I excuse you.

Wow.

I know Flood is platinum, but maybe those are gold by now.

I don't know.

I feel like every single person in my high school had copies of each of those records.

Actually, people are real like they might be Giants has five platinum albums.

One of them is Flood, which is the one that's got like Birdhouse in Your Soul and Particle Man.

Their other four are Here Come the ABCs, Here Come the 123s, Here Come Science and No, which is like they're all kids albums.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Since their brand new album from 1990, They Might Be Giants, great new album, Flood.

What a good album.

And Jody, formerly of GTG, the longest standing GTG-er who is not one of us, huge They Might Be Giants fan.

not skipping leg days, Kevin? Yeah.

So they set about making the album with producers Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley, a pair of oddball Brits who you might remember also produced They Might Be Giants' major label breakthrough, Flood.

Oh, really?

That was recently.
