Floetry

Listen.

Flowetry.

Say yes.

I'm waiting for...

Thank you, Floor Truth.

I like Floetry's version.

I actually bought their album where it's a demo on the last track.

And it's very similar.

i remember i remember this track did we did we review this we reviewed this i think i put one through ten i'm not mistaken but i'm not sure i'm not sure i don't remember but i do remember the bay i remember the bass being crazy on it it's got like that throbbing like groove that you love so being that how are you answering the two questions

So I know this is one that A.M. didn't love, but for different reasons than I, because him and I are huge Floetry fans.

I did really dig the Floetry original.

It's a classic.

But I feel Tank really worked to make it his own.

The 90s, of course, there's For Real, Good Girls, I Put My Money Where My Mouth Is with the Jazzy Fat Nasties.

And, you know, rounding out to the aughts, of course, we can name Floetry, 702, of course, Destiny's Child.

But, you know, I first discovered our guest today through Solange's St. Heron site, which prepared me for their first EP, which was entitled Legacy.

But what a difference a four-year rebrand makes.

Listen, but some- but sometimes that rent is worth it.

You know what I'm saying? Like, my song I got n- got out now called Yes, I, I did an interpolation of Floetry.

Mm-mm.

Um, Say Yes.

Send a massive shout to Wes Wind for sending these over.

This one from Floretry, covering Michael Jackson's Butterflies.

Check this out.

D Radio Network.

Then we're going to go with an oldie but a goodie from the Floassist.

One called Speechless from her Floetry Rebirth album.

And she was one half of the 90s duo called Floetry.

And then we're going to go with my man Willie Hutch off his 1996 album.

Which I said was 40 years old a couple of weeks ago.

He did the remake or interpolation of Janet Jackson's Control.

He has the Flowetry remake, Say Yes, that I love.

It's so good.

It's like dominating radio right now.

Does she always make music?

Yeah, she was in Floetry.

She got kicked out.

She was in Floetry?

Mm-hmm.

When they, when Floetry split up, um, and the rapper girl left-

Yeah
