And that's a real concern to me.

The Liberal Democrat Lady Benjamin didn't think the bill went far enough.

She pointed to the Windrush scandal when thousands of Caribbean migrants who arrived in the UK between 1948 and 1973 were wrongly classified as illegal citizens.

Windrush victims and survivors need a clear plan to be published setting out how the duty of Canada will be used to secure truth, accountability, justice and fair compensation for them.
