In state news, a Flint Township woman who left children in deplorable conditions has pleaded guilty to all seven charges, including child abandonment and child abuse.

The woman, Crystal Farmer, requested a COBS evaluation, which allows a judge to give a preliminary evaluation of a potential sentence before she decides whether to keep her plea.

Flint Township Police said Farmer kept her children living in trash for days without food or water and a concerned neighbor called police.

Farmer is scheduled for sentencing next month.
