The Flin Flon Bombers were in Kindersley for a two-game set.

They got a 4-3 win on Friday, and then Humboldt with a 4-1 win over La Ronge, who had a tough weekend themselves.

On Saturday, Larange, as I mentioned, they were on the road to Warman, and Warman got a 7-2 win.

Warman still in first by three points.

They have a cushion.

The Melfort Mustangs, Flin Flon Bombers, and Waving Red Wings all tied for second.

Humboldt is also right there.

Nope, to Flin Flon.

And they got a win off of the Flin Flon Bombers who have now...

okay? No, they got revenge, obviously.

When you get offered that job to be the head coach of the Flin Flon Bombers, what's your first reaction?

I think just disbelief, to be honest with you.

Obviously working with Mike Reagan for seven years, there was kind of towards the end of that time, I guess, you know, there, we had a lot of conversations about me, you know, potentially taking over down the road and everything like that.

And yeah, I mean, it was obviously a really, really special moment for us to be able to get the job done.

And then obviously for Flin Flon to get the job done too in the same year was a really cool experience too, I think.

We'll start back where you were a young assistant coach with the Flin Flon Bombers.

When you were there, did you ever struggle with like your self-talk or confidence or just that fear of failure and believing in yourself as you're starting your first job as assistant coach with not a ton of experience? Did any of those thoughts ever creep in your head?

Weyburn has an extra win, that's why they're at the top.

Uh, the Flin Flon Bombers with 12, they're tied with Melfort.

Uh, the Humboldt Broncos sit with 11 now.

Uh, Melville and Yorkton split their weekend, they're at 10 and 9.

Of course, Yorkton's basically tied with Melville at this point.

Uh, the Flin Flon Bombers and Melfort Mustangs, uh, lead the way in the UPL Division.

And in the Nutrien Division, Warman still hangs on.

I'm not going to be able to know chapter and verse the exact year, but it's in the 1950s.

The Flin Flon Bombers played the Montreal Junior Canadians, or maybe there were a whole lot of Canadians at that point.

And they were promised, the Flin Flon Bombers were promised, if they won the Memorial Cup, they were promised jobs in the mine for life.

And the guys used it as a rallying cry, and they won the Memorial Cup.

And lucky for Patty and lucky for Teddy, those guys made it out because they were good enough to play pro hockey.

So, you know, it, it takes some time sometimes to get going, especially when you have such a unique rink.

We sometimes see that with the Flin Flon Bombers too.

They start a year where they're on the road a lot, and they kinda start slower.
