Flash

oh oh Victoria, Victoria From Canada to India, Australia To Cornwall to Singapore To Hong Kong from the west In the morning when you start your day Do you feel yourself quite lost? In a world of countless millions On the tide of it like a toss Don't think you're getting nowhere You know we have a start In the rush and hustle of your day When all of your world seems mad You look at everything you see And know that it's not so bad Just take your time and work it out You know what's in your mind From very small beginnings

From 1972, that was a band called Flash, a track called Small Beginnings on the Capitol label, and before that, the unmistakable Kinks from 69, the hit of theirs called Victoria, which I played for you on the Canadian Pie label.

It's one of those ones that one should always have in their collection, but I had had a heck of a time... tracking it down.

It's not an expensive record, so I didn't want to buy it online or buy it on auction or whatever.
