Always on the watch, eager, unafraid, insatiable, and ready to spring, by Alfredo Panzini.

Where are they all going? That is the question a fellow is tempted to ask when he sees so many girls, so many flappers going around these days.

Combined with a filmy, vaporous costume, this facial mask makes the flapper look like a ship cleared for action.

But then I also saw that he was celebrating his wife's birthday.

And they had a party where they dressed up like they were from the Flapper era.

So like the 20s, 1920s.

Which we're in the 20s now.

But they dressed up like 1920s.

So they're in the Flapper era.

And he's smoking like a cigar.

And he's with all these other people that I don't know.

And we didn't have a name for these for the longest time.

In the Super Donkey Kong GB guide, they're referred to as Flapper.

How about that? How about that? Because Flapper was also a fan name for one of the purple parrots seen in Parrot Shoot Panic in Donkey Kong Country 2 because Swanky's bonus bonanza early in DKC 2, he asks you, what's the name of your parrot friend? And the options are Squawks, Squeaks, and Flapper.

And then later on, Parrot Shoot Panic presents plausibly up to two separate purple parrot characters and we're like who the hell are these now in japan they quickly established the name quarks which paon ran with when they brought quarks back in barrel blast slash jet race making that the official international name of the very least one of the purple parrots but you know bonanza kind of muddies the waters there as far as animal buddy naming goes Anyway, my point is, Squeeze and Flapper were used by DK Vine for years up to the release of Barrel Blast to refer to the Purple Parrots.

Come to find out, there was already a Flapper flapping around the Donkey Kong series, and it was these weird-ass muscles.

Yeah.

I like these, though.

So most people might not be aware, but Ireland did revel in the Roaring Twenties.

We had burgeoning dance halls, a thriving jazz scene, and yes, we even had Irish flappers.
