FLAC

It reads your file names and folder names and turns them into proper tags.

It works on MP3, Ogg, Vorbis, and FLAC files.

It's a small Pearl script written by Bryce Golan, and it's on Debian, Ubuntu, Mint, you know, and it's just pseudo app, and you can install it.

Arch users will find it in AUR.

Uh, I, I, I, I think- I think it's weird that they give you an MP3 file and not like a more, a less compressed format, but-

... like a FLAC, but-

He's got GPIO, I2C, UART, TAR, GZIP.

It can decode FLAC files and MP3s and play them.

It has an in-memory database.

I think it's even got a limited MySQL.

So basically this tips for anyone out there with a music collection sitting in flack files.

And the tool comes bundled with the standard FLAC command line package tools.

So if you've got FLAC installed, you most certainly have this one as well.

FLAC, as people may or may not know, carries metadata just like MP3s, image files, other file types.

In this case, it's things like the artist name, album title, track number, number of channels, sampling rate, things like that.

But sometimes the metadata is wrong, missing, or maybe you rip the whole album and every track says track 01 instead of the actual song name.

So whatever your file name's called.

and you can even get fancy and use the dash dash preserve dash mode time flag and it will update it without touching the file's original modification date so like it won't mess with like archive software and stuff like that if that's could be an issue for you there's also support for importing and exporting tags in bulk form from a plain text file which There you can generate that, however, and then you can just use it to update your library.
