First Day Jitters

What will the children do once they arrive? Will they like school? Will they be nice to him? While school has a rough start, things begin to change as the day goes on.

He also realizes that he isn't the only one with first day jitters.

And I love that this story is told by the perspective of the school building itself.

It allows for a sweet, funny, and heartfelt discussion about emotions.

Just wait until they have a chance to unleash themselves during their favorite time of day, art class.

This one is short, concise, and still hits the mark.

My final picture book recommendation is an oldie but a goodie, First Day Jitters.
