Firewatch

Um, and to me, a four-hour game needs to have a really strong hook to keep you going for that time.

So one that jumps out to me that I did and I played it, it was a very quiet New Year's Eve, had no plans, and it was like about 9:00 at night, and I booted up Firewatch.

Oh, yeah.

Back when that came out, like back in that year, whatever year that was.

I mean, this is an all-time great game.

I know I'm not unique in saying that.

Firewatch is brilliant, um, and loved by many.

But it's the kind of mysterious narrative that just completely got its claws into me to the point where when I finished it, I didn't even realize I was finishing it.

I've just taken me a while to remember I'm terrible with names but I loved it like I said the way it made me feel is really good so I definitely would suggest that and if you haven't played Firewatch before the indie game we've talked about in the podcast before you can smash that in a few hours and the new God of War games especially Ragnarok the way that does storytelling very good

I would always recommend immortality in terms of storytelling because of the different layers, because you are finding out what happened to this actor called Marissa Marcel.

You are trying to do that by going through reels of footage.

Whatever you think of when you think of Walking Sims, Firewatch, and What Remains of Edith Finch and those types of games.

And I say walking sim lovingly.
