Fire Emblem Fates

And so in a game like Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the way this has been approached in the past is you just sort of have three campaigns.

Or even in Fire Emblem Fates on the 3DS, you have two different games here, um, Birthright and Conquest.

These are all stories in the game, and it's sort of like, I guess the easiest way I can explain it is maybe, like, Octopath Traveler.

Um, there are four stories that are all kind of intermingling at the same time.

And part of that was also that they got really ambitious with the stories.

So the next mainline entry was Fire Emblem If, or we got it as Fire Emblem Fates.

Fire Emblem If is such a better name.

But, but the problem with Fire Emblem ...

One is that while it's called Three Houses, it actually has four routes, and that's the Japanese title I think is something like Fire Emblem: Four Seasons to, to re- represent that.

And they're just separate games.

It's basically the same thing as Fire Emblem Fates, but it was sold as one game instead of three or four.

And so you would play a full campaign, and then if you wanted to see the other route, you would play another full campaign.

Uh, maybe there's some mechanics.

This happened to me recently with, with Fire Emblem: Fates.

I'm, I'm playing it.

I'm enjoying it.

so, cause that was one of my biggest issues with fire emblem fates is that there was not a lot of variety to the maps.

No, there wasn't.

And I say that because Callie and I, we've both been playing Fire Emblems for a week.

Being able to turn off the hermideath helped mitigate that.

Yeah, so the multiple pass thing, because when you start this game, they say, oh, here's four different characters, and you can choose a character, and you can go back and choose any of them at any time.

So that is a much more refined version of what Three Houses did, And definitely way more refined than the first time you could choose paths, which was Fire Emblem Fates.

You know, you have the base, which, again, first introduced in Fates, where you could build a base, but it was just fluff.

I swear I'll stop talking about Fire Emblem one of these days, but I think, I don't know if you've played those games, but I think that that... aspect is why when you went from the 3DS to the Switch and the Switch 2 they've kind of toned that down because I think they're like oh we have a pretty solid game here we don't want to embarrass people if they're playing on a TV and you know I play them on my TV and you know I'm just like oh if if this if this was the the anime titty fest that the Fire Emblem Fates was I I would not play this on the TV laughing

So I have multiple romantic partners, and one of them is a really big Fire Emblem fan.
