St Paul's Cathedral was somewhat less lucky.

Its charnel house was pulled down for building stone, and the bones were supposedly removed in a thousand cartloads and buried in Bunhill Fields in Finsbury.

Now, there is a wonderfully macabre story that said that Bunhill was named as a corruption of Bonehill after this moment, but it is worth saying that we do have from record that Bunhill had that name before the bones were carted out of St. Paul's.

They had to take the doors off to get the charters petition into Parliament because people wanted the vote so much.

I don't want to be the MP for Finsbury who oversees the death of British democracy because of interference from abroad.
