What were the problems?

I think the problem was I was deep in Billie's third album.

We were not taking a roadmap through that album.

We were kinda out in the woods, and that can be a very confusing way to make a record.

You know, if you get a couple songs that you think are good and then you're working on recording them, that's solid ground to be on.

We were grabbing fragments.

We'd get, like, the bridge of a song, and the beat for a song, and the melody for another song.
