Josh YoheHOST
45:55
We'll see, yeah.
Josh YoheHOST
45:57
I like Finn Harding, but I think he might be like a Ben Lovejoy type, which is fine.
Josh YoheHOST
46:02
But other than Brunick, I don't see any legitimate top four can't-miss players in their system.
Josh YoheHOST
46:09
A legitimate big-time defenseman, whether it be a prospect or a young NHL player, that would go a long way for the Penguins, especially Corey, when you consider Eric Carlson's probably not coming back.
Kyle DubasGUEST
12:06
And I think is a lot closer to being an option for us than people realize or give credit for on the outside.
Kyle DubasGUEST
12:12
I think that the decision with Owen Pickering and Harrison Brunick was, what's the best developmentally? Do you want them to be here just to say that they're here and they're in the NHL? To go back to the press conference, the question of are you unhappy that those guys are not on the NHL roster? We could put them on there if we want to say we're developing guys, but the reality of it is we would much rather have those two in particular, plus Chase Pietula, plus Finn Harding, plus Jake Livinovich, with Wilkes-Barre playing massive minutes and not getting a game or two every once in a while here, especially early in the season.
Kyle DubasGUEST
12:58
You know, Pietila, I think, deserved much more than we were able to give him in preseason.
Kyle DubasGUEST
13:02
He's a victim of the circumstance of the change in the format.
Nick BelskyHOST
0:16
He struggled a little bit whenever the, uh, the big boys came out to play in the NHL preseason.
Nick BelskyHOST
0:22
Um, Finn Harding is a guy that I, I really like and I think is coming along nicely.
Nick BelskyHOST
0:28
Um, I think a lot of people figured out who Chase Pietila was this preseason, which was nice to see.
Nick BelskyHOST
0:33
Anybody who didn't watch him perform last year in Wilkes-Barre got a taste of it in this camp.
Nick BelskyHOST
24:30
He struggled a little bit whenever the, uh, the big boys came out to play in the NHL preseason.
Nick BelskyHOST
24:36
Um, Finn Harding is a guy that I, I really like and I think is coming along nicely.
Nick BelskyHOST
24:41
Um, I think a lot of people figured out who Chase Pietola was this preseason, which was nice to see.
Nick BelskyHOST
24:47
Anybody who didn't watch him perform last year in Wilkes-Barre got a taste of it in this camp.
Taylor HaaseHOST
12:13
He's skating.
Dejan KovacevicHOST
12:14
Eric Kuhn has a question about Finn Harding and the way he played.
Dejan KovacevicHOST
12:17
He had some nice hits against the Red Wings.
Dejan KovacevicHOST
12:18
Harding was put into a bad spot in that game.
Dejan KovacevicHOST
12:35
But at the same time, Galvis was, it was a little bit rough for him and very understandable, very understandable.
Taylor HaaseHOST
12:42
Yeah.
Taylor HaaseHOST
12:43
I mean, I don't know what about Finn Harding because he's not going to make the team out of camp.
Dejan KovacevicHOST
12:48
No, no,
Taylor HaasHOST
13:28
Um, I mean, they have a few options, but Rizzo, Justin Rizzo, he's healthy, he's skating.
Dejan KovacevicHOST
13:33
Eric Coon has a question about Finn Harding and the way he played.
Dejan KovacevicHOST
13:36
He had some nice hits against the Red Wings.
Dejan KovacevicHOST
13:38
Harding was put into a bad spot in that game.
Dejan KovacevicHOST
13:54
But at the same time, uh, Galvis was f- it was a little bit rough for him, and very understandable.
Dejan KovacevicHOST
14:00
Very understandable.
Taylor HaasHOST
14:01
Yeah, I, I mean, I don't know what the, like, what about Finn Harding [laughs] 'cause, like, he's, he's not going to make the team out of camp.
Dejan KovacevicHOST
14:07
No, no, no.
Dan KingerskiHOST
41:16
So that's as best I can tell you.
Dan KingerskiHOST
41:21
Now, McGroarty, Koivunen, Pickering, Brunick, Avery Hayes, Tristan Brose, Joel Blomquist, or Sergei Murashov, who am I missing? Finn Harding has been solid in camp.
Dan KingerskiHOST
41:34
I don't know that he's ever going to be a top six NHL defenseman.
Dan KingerskiHOST
41:39
He might be a third-pairing guy, but he could certainly be a seventh defenseman.
Dan KingerskiHOST
41:43
If the Penguins need some help this season because of a rash of injuries, Finn Harding could certainly come in and do so.
Dan KingerskiHOST
41:52
So could Chase Petilla.
Dan KingerskiHOST
41:55
There's some solid depth in the organization, but just in the top handful of prospects, I do think they get into the lineup at midseason.
Hunter HodiesHOST
29:58
Carlisle and Solovyov, and then Tommy Galvis is going to get in tonight.
Hunter HodiesHOST
30:01
He was in the roster for last night's game, did not play, but he is going to play tonight with Finn Harding.
Hunter HodiesHOST
30:08
Harding is a player I expect to start in Wilkes-Barre this year.
Hunter HodiesHOST
30:11
So yeah, again, Pat, like Monday, you got your veterans who we know are gonna make the team, and we got some younger players who May not be there just yet, like the Rock twins, for example, Bills on in Atlee Calvert, but I'm excited to see what they can do.
Taylor HaasHOST
2:05
Declan Carlisle with Ilya Solovyov, that is new.
Taylor HaasHOST
2:07
Then Thomas Galvis is going to make his preseason debut with Finn Harding, who is his babysitter, translator, even though Finn Harding doesn't speak Czech.
Taylor HaasHOST
2:18
So that'll be fun.
Dejan KovacevicHOST
2:20
And that even goes back to the Prospects Challenge last week.
Josh YoheHOST
41:07
Like, I, I, I like, listen, I, I've, I've talked about this guy before.
Josh YoheHOST
41:10
Every time I watch Finn Harding play, like, that guy's gonna be Ben Lovejoy in a couple of years.
Corey TusickHOST
41:15
Yeah.
Josh YoheHOST
41:15
Like, there's going to be-- He's gonna be Chad Ruhwedel or Ben Lovejoy, and that's not a knock.
Josh YoheHOST
41:29
The only problem he has right now is [laughs] look at all the righties that you have.
Josh YoheHOST
41:33
Van Riemsdyk's playing on the left side because there's already three righties in front of him, and that doesn't include Harrison Brunck.
Josh YoheHOST
41:38
So where do you want Finn Harding to play right now? But a couple of years from now when Karlsson and Letang are gone, and when Van Riemsdyk's gone, um, I think there's a real chance Finn Harding's, like, the third pairing defenseman maybe behind Brunck.
Corey TusickHOST
41:50
Yeah.
